Cruise!
Sunday, April 4, 2010 4:20 PM
Next Saturday we will be departing on a 14 night Trans-Atlantic cruise for our honeymoon! We are sooo excited! Jeff has never been to Europe and I have never been to any of the places we are going. I've renewed my passport (in my maiden name) and I am super psyched to get some stamps in it.
We are trying to get packed up today but it is really hard to pack for 14 days worth of fun. Plus we have to fly back and can only have one bag each. Boo. I think we will be fine though. I got a travel size laundry detergent so we will probably just pack 7 days worth of stuff and do some wash half way through.

Here is our itinerary:

Apr 24, 2010Barcelona, Spain------

April 12th is Jeff's birthday so we are going to do a special brunch at the adults only restaurant, then that night is our first formal night.
We have excursions booked at a few ports. Our first is the stingray excursion on Castaway Cay. Something I'm really excited about is the chocolate museum in Barcelona. Of course I am also excited to the architecture in the city on our own after the chocolate museum, but the chocolate making experience is only available to groups.
It is going to be a blast and I can't wait until Saturday!!

Marathon Runner?
Monday, March 29, 2010 4:31 PM
I signed up for something I never thought I would do, and I am very excited about it! Jeff and I registered for the very first Mickey's Halloween Family Fun Run 5K It's a part of the inaugural Wine & Dine Half Marathon weekend.
Neither of us are runners. I am probably the opposite of a runner. I had a note to get me out of any running and jumping in gym class my sophomore year of high school and my athletic involvement pretty much went downhill from there.
I however am beyond excited about this event. I haven't started training yet, but I have bought a sports bra! I'm trying be be better about my Wii Fit usage and I'm just waiting to be able to do some running/jogging with Jeff.
I am also really excited about the Halloween theme and free ticket to MNSSHP the next night. Jeff has already decided to dress up as Quailman from 'Doug' I haven't decided on a costume though.

There are going to be characters all along the route and we can stop and take pictures! It's the only race that is exclusively through the MK and that thrills me as well.

I can't wait!

Who is Mrs. Allen?
Tuesday, March 23, 2010 5:13 PM
This question has been plaguing me for the past few weeks. People keep asking me if I feel any different after getting married. My answer is always no. Life in general is the same as it was three months ago.

Now if you ask me what my last name is, then I stumble over the answer. I have no clue! I haven't done anything towards changing my name because I had to renew my passport before our cruise in a few weeks. There was no time to change my name before renewing so I will not be tackling that until May.

I was going to go with two last names. No hyphen, just two last names. Now that I've been able to test the waters with a name I think I am going to scratch that idea. It just means I will always be confused as to what my last name is, or I will end up just using Allen anyway, so might as well just jump in and change it. However, for the time being I don't know what name to give. Legally I am still Browne, same as I ever was. What if I give the name Allen for something and then they ask for ID and I can't produce anything? I turned my car in for vallet parking and was obsessing that they wouldn't give it back to me!

So, there it is. I will be turning into Mrs. Allen soon. I have a feeling this is what I was supposed to feel like after graduating from school, like I can choose to be anything.
Now I just have to start looking for who I am. If you ask google, this is what you get:

this one is my favorite:

None of those images are me. Who knows, maybe someday I will be the top image result.....
